thank so much everyone.. it's jus getting very difficult for me as fruits don't fill me up n veggies are no more appetising.. wonder if everyone feels so hungry or is it jus me.. I have a major tendency to put on weight easily.. it's genetic.. frankly i exercise daily and las 30 weeks I have tried my level best to not over indulge but still 10kgs.. it's jus depressing

As advised by BabyChakra expect Dr Riddhi Chandarana. If you need to contact her, let us know! Hi. Firstly , look into this principle - eat small frequent meals every 2-2.5 hours rich in protein , fiber & vitamins , moderate in carbs and less in fats and sugar . Breakfast should consist of dry fruits , a glass of milk and some hot and freshly prepared snacks . At Mid morning have coconut water or any fruit such as banana , Apple , chickoo , kiwi , grapes etc . At lunch , start with a salad or soup - have chappati or rice with vegetable and dal . Green leafy vegetable once a day ! End with curd / buttermilk or lassi At mid afternoon - have munchers such as dry fruits or khakhra or popcorn or rusks At snacks - have a fruit and some preparation which is roasted but not fried . At dinner - Start with salad or soup . Have any variety rich in protein & fiber . Along with carbs . End with curd / buttermilk or lassi. Before Sleeping - a glass of milk . If you have thyroid or diabetes or any other complication in pregnancy, dre will be variations in the above sample menu .

It can be challenging to stick to a guideline for pregnancy weight gain especially if you've never craved for carbs so much in life and it seems like everyone encourages you to eat for 2! Few tips: 1. Eat moderately and often! Focus on small and frequent meals that are high in protein , fruits and vegetables. Do not over do it. 2. Drink up (water that is ) drink water at intervals to keep cravings are bay and stomach full. 3. Make your cravings constructive Try and satisfy your cravings by getting proteins and healthy fats ins tead. 4. Start a simple walking regime. Most valuable thing you can during this time is walk. 5. Consult a nutritionist if needed. She can give you professional help.
