I am quiet tired of my toddler running around the entire day and I can only engage him for a few hours after which I loose all energy and he goes cranky. What do you suggest I do to constructively engage his energy the entire day.

there's some great advice given here. you can alternatively scroll through the toddler section of our app for articles and you will find tons of activities. they don't necessarily require a lot of investment per se. also, see if you can hire some help or a maid who can help you with certain chores while you focus on the baby. also, take your baby to a nearby park and let run. if they use their energy they will bother u less

do zumba in front of your toddler. you can lose weight too and enjoy engaging the kid. my son is a ball of energy and I get very frustrated too. pick your battles with a toddler. you can't stop them from doing everything. chose what behaviours and mischiefs you can let go. kids at this age are trying to take control of their life hence the defiance. let them have some control. the more we try to tame them the more they will rebel. so let it go. also keep snacking and drinking water through the day. running behind a toddler is hardwork and if we are hungry and thirsty we are more irritable. and every once in a while put your feet up and let TV entertain your kid. but not for too long!

Dear Friend, how about involving him in your day to day work, like
1. loading washing machine, you could do counting of clothes, sorting by colour, size etc
2. kneading dough for roti (give the kneaded dough) let him pull, push, make shapes etc. Good for fine motor
3. If you set cooker for daal chawal, let him. play with the soaked daal/chawal for few minutes. You will be surprised how much kids enjoy this sensory input.
4. Setting up table for lunch. One spoon/bowl per plate (one to one correspondence)
5. Drying/folding clothes. (whatever or however he can)
Keep exploring your other activities and involving him. It may be for a few minutes initially.
While you are at it, you can have lot of language input. Caution though, don't focus on teaching. Focus on playing and having fun.
Best Wishes!!!
