I am ten years into this parenting thing and there are times I think I have got the whole thing wrong. I have been living with this nagging head pound the whole day. My four year old had a meltdown, which involved going to the shop right away for a lollypop treat, while we just got back with ice creams. I kept repeating to my ten year old to clean his room, which looked nothing short of cyclone-struck. I was getting no where with the looming larger-than-life laundry (I just let the monster lie in the basket and around). I work entirely from home, which means during kids' holidays I don't have a routine whatsoever.

(PS. Don't judge me) Yes there are days like this I need to scream, maybe not at the kids (Yes I admit, at the kids too sometimes) but into a pillow, for heaven's sake, s**t gets real, and out comes this blind hot white rage that I never knew I had inside me. (No, I don't need help) I shout out so loudly that my throat hurts and I can't shake it off for a while. But I walk it out till I see a reason and surface back again much calmer to the kids I love.

Do you mommies rage? I know it is real, I have heard it from some mommies. How do you come out of it? @asha chaudhry , @Sheeba Rizvi , @Priya Sood , @Neha Rungta , @Pooja Kudva

We mommies are such emotional creatures! In the pursuit of doing the everything correct for our loved ones we overwork ourselves so much that we sometimes feel the need to explode. It is great to have a platform like BC where we mommies know that we are not alone! We find our answers in other mommies' experiences!

Not a day goes when the thought of being a monstrous mom doesn't cross my mind! Very recently I had an eye opener when my six year old asked me "mom, why are you always in an angry mood?" And these days he is the one advising me after every rant of mine to just leave the topic and forget it coz it won't happen again. I'm amazed at how cool he is about things and I'm so worked up all the time! It's so natural for us moms to just lose it sometimes when there is one work lined up after another. I'm happy I'm not alone :)

Having said that, it's not that i don't get mad at them.. i do...but I'm learning to manage it. I lock myself in a room and wait for the moment to pass...:)

This post really comes at a great time. With both kids at home, when I walk back into the house i cant figure if I'm happy or sad!! the house looks like a banshee rummaged it through! but there's something I'm really working on and that's 'being calm.' my 6 yo told me one day ' mom you taught me how to scream loud!' cold water in face! it's kind of like an anger-rehab I'm into with myself. it's been 1 month and i haven't yellled!
