I came to know that I had endometriosis in my right ovary during my first scan after getting pregnant. Ultrasound scan revealed it is 7.2cm in size. During my pregnancy days I was worried about anything wrong like severe pain might happen.,but by God's grace my pregnancy and delivery went quite normal and I delivered a baby girl. I have repeated ultrasound scan and it shows the cyst is there in same size. Before pregnancy my menstrual cycle was regular and was not painful. I had read an article that period after pregnancy of those who has endometriosis is severely painful. I would like to know whether it is true and what treatment I should take for this condition. I would like you to consider that I am a breastfeeding mother while suggesting a treatment for my condition.

first of all I would like to congratulate you on your pregnancy because the first and the biggest hurdle for an endometriosis is conceiving and getting pregnant I will like to tell you the real fact that there is no sure shot treatment for this problem because this is more of genetic the only thing that will happen if the periods might be painful and just the first period which will happen after 6 months and that will be a little bit different than the normal periods you are getting before pregnancy and rest after that everything will be normal the only concern is pain you will have pain and if the cyst is too large the doctor will advise you leproscopy or seeing the situation oopherctomy can be done but again the treatment and the management both are different and I will focus more and management part which is very helpful doing yoga exercise on a daily basis will help to reduce the symptoms and suffering of endometriosis and side by side you can continue the hormonal treatment such as using contraceptive pills can reduce the pain as well as bleeding

Reshama for medicines and treatment you have to meet your gynaecologist and start. Tagging @616fdb6bee57850013f09995 for more input.
