I can't breastfeeding my baby as there is latching problem because of my cracked , retracted and small nipples. So I give him formula milk 60 ml per feed every 2 hrs. but he starts crying after half and hour , sometimes after 1 hr, always cries after having milk as if he wanys more. His weight is 4.4 kg. He was born on 29th Dec. Height also good as dr. told. He told not to increase milk right now. I dont understand what to do.
I take out milk through manual pump but I can take out just around 60 ml in 1 hr. sometimes even less. He is not able to latch and cried when I try to breastfeed him. What to do? If I vl go to any lactation consultant can I be helped at this stage i.e. after 1 month? I feel helpless and guilty and feel that I am giving poison to my baby whenever I give him nan-pro.

Also my maternal family (where I am living)forces me to feed him by bottle and to feed him early after 1 or 1 and a half hour by saying that I keep him hungry. I feel so stressed.

Yes a Lactation specialist will be able to help you with suggestions on how to increase your milk supply as well as in latching the baby. The first step for you however is to stop using the bottle. If weight gain is fine and baby needs to be fed every ninety minutes or so then for the time being the schedule is OK. However you may want to try distracting the baby instead of only thinking of feeding. There is no point in feeling guilty as that will only cause anxiety and stress and the milk supply will further reduce. Visit a Lactation specialist or have one come for a home visit. Options are available thru Babychakra as well.

whenever I give him 90 ml he vomits most of the time. Sometimes I give him 75 ml with 2 and a half spoons of nan pro.
