I continue to be around throughout the day to answer any more queries you may have about cloth diapering.
One of the most common query / concern parents have with regards to cloth diapering is that they will be a lot of work to maintain.
This is actually not true. Below are some basic points on how to care for your diapers to make your cloth diapering journey super smooth.
1. KEEP IT SIMPLE: Always use only regular detergents like Surf / Tide. No fancy detergents with enzymes, fabric softeners, fragrances and additives. These additives can cling to the fabric affecting their performance and also occasionally causing skin irritation
2. NO CREAMS / POWDERS: Never apply any rash cream / powder with Advanced Cloth Diapers. They are unnecessary and in fact cause leak issues eventually. A thin layer of coconut oil is good enough and also cloth diaper friendly
3. FIT FIT FIT This is THE most important aspect of cloth diapering. Getting the fit right is critical for good performance of the diaper. So ensure you size the diaper right, and reach out to the brand for any help you may need with it. #MompreneurTakeOver #Superbottoms

@5a3cf70940e68736e8b993ec there are 3 most popular types of inserts
1. microfiber - very popular very easy to use, average performance.
2. hemp - most absorbent, needs careful handling a little, expensive. ideally recommended as boosters or for heavy wetting babies
3. organic bamboo cotton - absorbency is somewhere in between hemp and microfiber.
There are other types which are offshoots of these but these are the primary ones.
ideally we recommend a mix of all... if your baby is a light wetter you can be good with an all microfiber stash with a few boosters in organic bamboo cotton or hemp.
if your baby is a medium to heavy wetter- microfiber may not work much so go more for the other 2.
