Yes dear out of the sensitive drugs given in the report only amikacin has lesser side effects than others in pregnancy. So Don't worry. Just as suggested by others trust ur doctor. Take care. Increaese ur water intake as it will flush out all the infection. Atleast 4 to 5 liters per 24 hours. <br> Flush the toilet before and after use. Use dettol liquid at home for the toilet and pee safe sanitiser for the toilet seats when in public. U can also use disposable toilet seat covers available on nykaa. <br> Keep ur private parts ultra clean and hygienic. Pat dry with a clean cloth and Air dry it after every pee and wash. Change ur underwear 3 to 4 times a day.<br> Orelse u can skip it even. <br> Ask ur gynaecologist if u can use vwash for cleaning the external parts.<br> Use a clean mug and not the health faucet as jet spray can push the infection deeper.

In case of ampicillin resistance doctor has prescribed u amikacin for urine inf. Yes it does have side effects but there is something called risk- benifit ratio. We have to take the risk of administering the drug inorder to save the pregnancy. As infection can cause irreparable damage to the baby or even miscarriage. And if we r lucky there are chances that the fetus might survive and sustain safely despite the drug going through it.
