I had twins by C section on 30 Nov 2021. On 2nd Dec my elder one started having convulsions and was admitted to NICU and diagnosed with hypoglycemia. He was on alternate formula and bm feed (30ml each with a 2 hr gap) and had a decent blood sugar level. For the last three days, he is exclusively on bm, but his blood sugar is dropped to 40 and he also lost some weight(40 to 60 gm). The doctor again recommended to start formula+bm, but I am worried. My child is in NICU for the last 11 days, I want it to be over soon. Can you please guide me about the same and how fatal is hypoglycemia in newborns?
