I have heard that citric fruits including grapes and there juices should not be given to babies ? why? and when can we start this juice and purees please advice

u can definitely give citrus fruits to ur baby, but only after 12 months ,these fruits are the richest source of vit C and vit C is also needed for kids it helps in their development, you can even give just one drop of it in one or two days to ur child at the age of 9 onwards.<br>

i was also told to avoid as baby's throat is delicate. so i think i started most of them after 1 yr. if the fruit is super sweet it should be okay. grapes they say avoid till 1 yr. pomegranate is healthy but would always give my baby a throat problem :( good luck!

Citrus fruits can take a little longer to digest and an infants stomach is still developing. They can be slowly introduced between 9-12 months depending on the other weaning processes that have been followed.

i agree with Sheeba. Citric juices should be given after 1 year...that too if baby is comfortable. They will get reflux wherein they may vomit. Give other fruits and vegetables.
