I am going to office with low lying placenta. My doc advised to avoid jerks, intercourse and long travel.

Hi,,,
If the placenta is near os or covering os then yes you need to stick on to bed rest.. if it is just low lying then you can do daily chores but never ever lift any sort of weight, climbing or long standing or walking or intercoarse..

Your doc will be a better judge for this as she knows your complete history.
I had low lyinh placenta and my doctor had strictly told me not to travel, walk or even stand or sit for long. My husband had specifically inquired if i should not walk, she said. "Avoid". Once the placenta goes back in place you can walk and do things but under precaution.
I had not travelled much nor did do about much work at home as i was very scared because my previoud scans had shown low heartrate, then i had severe thyroid, plus my heomoglobin was a concern so we were trying to be as precautious as possible. So it is better if you have a detailed conversation with her.
In my current scan my placenta has come not low lying so we are relieved.
PS: dont take stress, you will just do fine with some precaution. Just try to use western toilet for some days and avoid putting pressure on your abdomen. That will help.
