I know someone who took only green moong dal and after 20 days potatoes during her 40 day confinement period.. just to avoid gas in baby. Is this what we should be following? I wonder how will she get her own energy level back

+1 @5fedec01cccb6d0014097596 I had everything from day I delivered my baby the 2nd meal I had in hospital was rasam rice... Rasam is considered hot because of pepper and garlic used in it but my baby had no issues of gas due to tat or anything i ate....I believe anything in moderate quantity will not cause any issues but yes burping in the initial days is very important to avoid gas in babies

Everything Reeti, as @616dad1cb986a1001397107a just pointed out baby's gas got no connection with our food, they inhale certain amount of air while taking breast milk which causes them Colic pains. That's why initial days burp after every feed is important. Later on babies will settle and they don't require burp after every feed.
