then get ready for labour dear....I had similar situation with mine....I had pain like u have mentioned on the day I had my scanning done and my gynic told me that the baby's fixed in position ready to arrive. the next day early in the morning I again had uniform sharp pains which were contractions lasting 5 mins n repeating....this continued up to 21 hrs n I delivered her by midnight...my water didn't break by just itself, the Dr broke it...

This is what Babychakra expert Dr Riddhi Chandarana , Pre and post natal consultant has to advise. Yes . Everything is normal . Sometimes lower abdomen pains after 34 th week for 2 reasons - 1) too much gas because of which uterus is stressed and goes into slight tightening which can be felt as back pain and abdomen pain . So that ur uterus doesn't tighten because of gas , these medicines are given . 2) uterus is preparing for labor so the warm up contractions of uterus can come and go. But the warm up contractions are usually felt higher below the chest . since you are feeling it in the Lower portion , there can be signs of premature labor . To be on the safe side , ur gynaec has suggested you to take injections which are safe to take to relax the uterus and not let it go into premature labor . . Nothing to worry . This happens due to stress , not enough good nutrition & too much physical activity . Tc . If u panic , situation will not get better . So bond with ur baby , take these medications and follow what ur gynaec says
