question
I m litle confused.I met many pregnt ladies who are 36/ 37 weeks pregnt. They all r consulting the same gyno whom I m consulting. Even though they r only 37 weeks pregnt , after internal chk up doct gave; a date ; mostly in that week itself 4 delivering. It's not the case of one or 2 patients. He was doing same 4 many patients ( around 30) whom I met when I went 4 internal chk up.Last yr my sil delivered, with same gyno . It's too was same - induced one.

my doubt is as still there r many weeks 4 those pregnt ladies,; y doct is inducing pain. Doct can't wait atleast 40 weeks? ( may b my doubt is foolish one).is there any side effects with induced delivery?
Momies nd xperts plz clear my doubt

Its each doctors way of practising...some are ready to take risks but some take care no complications arises...each doctor wil be different each hs different experience...its. not awalys easy an smooth ride to labor some needs induction...but sometimes its done by patients request...some women check days rasi etc an wants delivery....sometime d doctor mayb on leve ...so many other external factors also infuence delivery nw...nw everyone wants a safe ride...

Hi.... Waiting for natural pains is always the best as it ensures full maturity of the baby plus increases chances of normal delivery... However in certain cases there are medical indications to induce before due date which means that keeping the baby inside may pose some risk to; either baby or the mother... Sometimes induction of labour is misused in our set ups for doctor's convenience so that they don't have to rush at an odd hour like middle of night or a weekend.. Now the patients dilemma is whether it's a medically indicated induction or not...very difficult for patient to find out... 1way is if you are keen on a normal delivery choose a doctor whose normal delivery rate is high... Secondly you can express your desire for normal delivery and understand the indication for induction if your doctor says so and check it up online on Royal college site... However choose your doctor carefully and it's best to have faith in her then
