I made this post only to ENCOURAGE & SUPPORT breastfeeding♥️ please don’t be judgemental. I am sure all those moms who gave up on breastfeeding must have left no stone unturned to try for it. I just wanted to share some things that I was not aware of when i gave birth and no one helped me and taught me this. I just want to help my fellow new moms who are undergoing stress coz of breastfeeding issues. PSA:
COLOSTRUM IS MILK 🗣 I hope I’m not alone but, I get so upset when i see post saying:
‘I just had my baby & my milk hasn’t came in’
‘I started formula because i don’t have milk yet’
‘My baby wasn’t getting anything’
😒
Mama, YOU HAVE MILK💧
Your body, so effortlessly may i add, produced COLOSTRUM specifically for your new baby.
So, some Facts:
✅Colostrum is HIGH in concentrated nutrition, carbohydrates, and protein.. but also low in fat, meaning it’s literally the perfect first food for your new baby.
✅Since colostrum is so ‘power packed’ it is low in volume, usually measured by teaspoons...meaning your baby literally only needs drops at a time!
✅Colostrum is very easy for newborns to digest, it’s exactly what their new tummies need....meaning your baby will absorb the colostrum FAST and nurse OFTEN (like all day lol)
✅The more You nurse, the faster your COLOSTRUM will MATURE...
-you’ll be able to tell it’s maturing because it will become lighter (whiter) in color & be thinner in consistency... This mature milk is also higher in volume so you’ll likely become engorged, which can last for a while as Mother Nature gets acquainted with your baby’s needs... just nurse.
✅Colostrum is thick and sticky and sometimes it’s hard to express/pump; Which leads us to be discouraged, and think, ‘I’m not producing anything’... Oh, but you are! Did I mention that:
🗣COLOSTRUM IS MILK🗣
Trust your body ladies! Trust that Mother Nature will take her time, your baby will take their time, & so should you♥️.
The BEST thing you can do for your newborn is feed them that colostrum, so do just that! Breastfeeding is hard.. You, your baby, and you family members, have to learn..
Most importantly you and baby, so take your time and learn with each other.😙 Good luck mommies . Stay strong 😗 Keep trying and you will succeed. I could breastfeed only after 1 month of continuous trying. P.s. this does not mean you should starve your baby all this while of trying. Feed formula happily and keep on trying to breastfeed ☺
Ya I also got to know when I get in touch with vestige.... In that there is one capsule which u open it n give them to ur baby mixing it in milk but these are for more than 2 yes of kids
