I was never into books and this was one thing that i hoped K should not inherit from me.. and Now she is 19 months old, totally into books.. Some things that helped me in developing her interest towards book-
.
1) Give them books as soon as possible, whem they are 3-4 months old during their tummy time..

2) Pick books with big and bright images with touch and feel patterns to make it interesting for them..
.
3) Dont force them if they dont show interest, read it to yourself and soon they will start imitaing you..
.
4) Get the books related to their field of interest like animals or colors to make it all the more attractive for them..
