🌸 I was so occupied lately with all the packing, moving and in laws visiting us that LittleD’s activity time took a back seat. I just kept her occupied with free play and puzzles.
.
🌸 Then I just sat back and thought I am not justifying the time I am spending with her. With all the house chores and taking my in laws around the city I could hardly plan activities for her.
.
🌸 So this week I reiterated my priorities and set them right. My new routine has an addition of exercise and LittleD’s activity time has moved up the bar.
.
🌸 I am letting go off the kitchen and cleaning hurricane. Letting them wait until I finish up an activity for Diya everyday come what may.
.
🌸 As she already knows the basic shapes (ie circle, square, triangle, star) I am expanding a little further to other shapes and colors as well. In this activity I have tried to introduce “brown” in colors and “hexagon” “pentagon” “oval” “rectangle” and “diamond” in shapes.
.
🌸 Surprisingly she did a great job. Though she is still trying to register brown she did great with shapes 😊
.
🌸 This was a Diy activity I made and it took just half an hour to set things up.
.
🌸 All you need is 2 same sized cardboards. Cut the desired shapes on one and mount that cardboard on another and you are set 😊 I just gave an extra bling with the gift wrap paper there.
.
🌸 In another card stock paper cut the same shapes and give it a desired color and pick the same colour grains for the child to fill.
.
This activity covers
🍂 Sensory play
🍂 Shapes
🍂 Colours
.
Which helps in achieving .
🌼Hand eye coordination 🌼How to fill within a boundary
🌼Introduce colors and shapes
.
Do give this a try and let me know how long it occupied your child😊
.
Happy parenting ❤️
