I wil be starting weaning plan for my baby..i have list down some food items which i wil start giving such as:

1. roasted moong dal and rice powder porridge

2. ragi porridge

3. apple sauce

4. mashed banana

5. carrot puree

5. sweet potato puree

apart from the above if i have missed out something pls suggest.

Also i have doubt such as:

1. how much tbsp should i give

2. what time

3. water how much ml and how many times in a day should i give.

Weaning should be gradual and step by step. Introduce one food at a time and then do not introduce a new item for atleast five days. You may also want to stick to one food group at a time. Best to start in the first half of the day. Water will depend on the weight of the baby and other items that the baby is taking for eg breast milk or formula. Would suggest speaking to your pediatrician or a Nutrition counselor for a detailed plan.
