Hi Anon 3 years is too young to tell you what exactly happened, Ask indirectly, play a game and ask or speak about his teachers, friends one by one and see his reaction.

You need to find out the reason .. talk and tell stories , play and in-between just try to find out. Also talk to the school authorities and the transport people (if any ) .
Ask the Mausi too if someone scolded or any bully in the class. Go with the baby once and then sit outside saying you are there if he needs you.. should be fine soon .
About sending the child to school yes you have to, as there will many such instances tomorrow we have to give them the confidence to fight and that we are there with them ..

Hey totally feel what you say. It’s so dicey. Key would be to handle with gentleness. Talk to the child. Calm him down. Go with him to school. Speak to the teachers and make an informed deduction. Teachers and principals are generally trained to counsel to at the KG level. Probably the child just wants to spend more time playing and not indulge in structured learning. May be the child is testing the water if he can get his way. May be a day off and loads of fun time with parents and conversations can prep the baby better for the next day. So forceful sending is not right. Assertive yes. But with being mindful of his concerns. Take the day off spend with him outing and when he is calmer ask. In the meanwhile do speak to the school for anything that could cause this.
