If the baby is not satisfied by the breast feed..can we give the formula milk immediately aftr the breast feed and also let me know quantity of the formula milk can i feed at a tme.
A baby who is exclusively on breast milk will pass urine minimum seven times a day and yellow colored stools. Baby comes to breast not just for Nutrition but also for comfort. Suckling is a natural reflex. Try other distracting techniques like going to another room, letting someone else handle after a feed, playing with some show and tell toys, swaddling, gentle massage etc. Breast milk is optimum for baby and if it is sufficient then formula is best avoided.
