I'm 33 weeks pregnant. since week 30 I'm having severe itching so my doctor advised for sgpt.initially it decreased from 418 U to 259 U but now it's stagnant at 250U. besides serum bilirubin also started increasing. so she recommended to visit gastroenterologist. I'm taking Levalon-300 bid for last 20 days. what is the prognosis for me and baby?

Hey Sonalika.. Unless the cause for rise in liver enzymes is not known, one cannot tell U the prognosis. It's better U ask gastroenterologist. Plus if in last 20days, if U repeat liver profile and enzymes have dropped, then it's a good sign.. But unless complete liver profile is not seen, cannot confidently answer. <br> Take care dear.. Follow up with doc and eat healthy home cooked food only..
