hi minal - i'm essentially a coffee drinker and can't function without my morning cuppa. my dr allowed me a cup a day when i was expecting. and i wouldn't make it so strong. substitute with other healthy beverages and you'll be just fine. tc

Me too.. I loved tea n coffee.. But mom n doc both told tea two cups; in a day is fine. Coffee; has higher caffeine content..; But if u really; can't stop in a go, break the quantity.; I take tea 4 times.. But 100 ml max at a time . also; chocolate and some other packaged item contains caffeine.. So read them carefully; before; consuming.. They say 200mg of caffeine; in a day is the limit.

Coffee has a high caffeine content and in excess can be harmful. Have maximum one cup per day. As you are trying to break the habit have twice a day but half cup each time. For someone who has in excess it can lead to withdrawal symptoms if you shut down suddenly. You can also try the decaffeinated version but again not in excess. It's good to break the habit as caffeine can interfere with iron absorption which is a key nutrient for baby growth. Even while breastfeeding we will say the same thing.
