Im confused about my child's behavior. She is just 3 and some times she is speaking very rudely. Just yesterday she said that she doesnt want me as her mother. I know very well she is just s child but it hurts. Im not scolding or beating her. Then why do i feel she isnt attached to me. When husband is at home she just wants him. Im very happy about that but it makes me to think why. Thats all.

Hi Anon, I can feel your hurt. Children are observant of all that happens around them. If she is talking very maturely, somewhere she is exposed to that kind of behavior and language. It could be from TV or someone else, who she spends time with. It is also common for children to feel closer to dads because dads only spend little time and have fun. Whereas moms spend most of the day where they have to check and correct the children, so they think of mom as bad a d dad as good. But, I'm not asking you to completely change but give her some positive comments, and reduce pointing mistakes or corrections to smaller things. It will not go suddenly but slowly
