I'm diabetic since 2 years and 37week pregnant now. Dr said she will induce labour in 38th week..is it safe for my baby?will my baby need NICU when delivered in 38th week?will baby of diabetic women be normal without any health problems..please help.iam worried..

baby is usually kept in an ICU specially in cases where in mother is having diabetes but it is not mandatory that baby will suffer some problems do you understand my point here it is important to take care of baby and keep the baby in vigilant conditions rather than discharging you early you can always tag me suvi

Hi any time after 37 weeks is considered full term so do not worry.

Trust your doc. Baby is full term after 37 weeks. Only if required baby needs to spend some time in NICU but mostly babies do fine.

Hii, at 38 weeks you will have a mature baby. So, baby won't need NICU. If there's any issue then only they will keep in NICU.<br>
And yes, is diabetic is under control there won't be any health issues. So don't worry.
