Trust your doc. Baby is full term after 37 weeks. Only if required baby needs to spend some time in NICU but mostly babies do fine.

Hii, at 38 weeks you will have a mature baby. So, baby won't need NICU. If there's any issue then only they will keep in NICU.<br> And yes, is diabetic is under control there won't be any health issues. So don't worry.
