Inculcating values

How important it is to inculcate right values and teaching in your child ?

What steps you take to make sure your child is listening to you and learning what you are teaching him /her ?

How you make sure your child is not getting influenced by someone else ?


I guess these questions are part of every moms worry towards their child. So here what as a parent we should do :

💞 Explain the right and wrong with valid justifications. Kids understand when we teach them something with proper reasons stories around it. Once you have told something try to remind them by different means.

💞 Practice what you preach -- kids learn fast from their surroundings so if they see their parents and elders respecting each other they will do the same automatically. If you want you child to be polite then first you be polite with your child.

💞 Stay firm on what you say -- if there is NO for something then don't bend or mend your rule not even once. That way kids know it's not to be done or asked. Explain them why but no modifying the rule.

💞 If your child has done something wrong and your are mad at them don't show your anger immediately. Talk to your child, understand why they did so and then calmly tell this is wrong. Tell them mumma is not happy because you did so but be careful next time. If you shout, scold or hit them, then next time either they won't tell you or lie to you or try to escape which we don't want.;

💞 Build confidence in your child that whatever happens they come and share with you, may it be right or wrong, or the mischief they did. Example if you Share what you did at home or whole day while they were at school then ask them about their day so they also share with you.

💞 Make them aware of their surroundings, their environment, teach them to help the needy, act of kindness.

💞 Love them alot, become their best friends, think from their point of view they might be thinking right as well. Don't force anything them....

We can only do our bit so they grow as wonderful Human beings, rest is on them how they apply things in their life. Kids these days are really smart and pickup very fast from what they see and experience.
