Introducing toys or stuffed animals to your little one is a great way to support their learning process, and intellectual, social, and emotional development. But the question with most the parents is “are these toys safe for my little one?”. to answer this, here are a few things to keep in mind when choosing toys for your babies.
- Avoid toys that have long strings or threads as there is a risk of your baby swallowing them or choking on them.
- Always check the toys for detachable parts like cars with detachable tiers, stuffed animals with detachable eyes, toys with batteries, etc as these small parts have a risk of being swallowed.
- Avoid stuffed animals or toys that are furry. Go for the ones that are smooth.
- Go for adequately sized toys. Not too big, not too small for your babies.
- Prefer the toys that are washable and the ones that can be cleaned easily to avoid infections caused when babies chew on these toys or any other mode of transmission.
- Do not compromise on the quality of the toys. The ones made with low-quality material or with loose threads or loosely knitted are risky to introduce to your baby.
Let your little one make the most of his/her childhood the right way. Let them play and enjoy themselves but with utmost safety.
