Hey Rupa
Though I had c section, I refrained from keeping a malishwali, hubby n I did the baby bathing and massaging; ourselves, for both my kids. It's up to you dear...

You can keep a lady for initial one month or less and start doing it yourself once you are comfortable and even the baby would gain weight by that time ... It's completely your choice... !! But it's a good exercise for the baby.... You can also wrap the baby with a cloth so that they can sleep well and also helps strengthen their bones...

Not necessarily for baby but keep for your self. If you are well taken care of,you can take care of your child yourself. Even though I took help of a maalishwali aunty for initial few day with Rehu,i was never happy with it. As she would come at her time,if my kid is hungry,i will be feeding her and she couldn't wait for long so she would just hurry up in massage and then quickly give bath which didn't g9 very well with my lo. Perhaps,i found it better to do it myself at my own convenience and since then my babys digestive issues subsided significantly. So,if the baby has just had food, dont massage her tummy area, dont bath immediately after massage, wait for 15 mins. Hurrying up in all these practices only add to the grief of the little life.
