Is it safe to cook/stand near the stove before we do breastfeeding? Heard that cooking will decrease the flow of milk secretion.

No not at all. Infant at times to Stimulate the flow we ask mom to use warm compresses and do a breast massage.

it's just a myth. but to produce good quantity ample rest is required for first 40 days atleast.
