Although breastfeeding is best, nothing can replace that, In case if needed, formula can be given. Discussion with doctor in choosing the right one is necessary.

Mother's milk is obviously the best for baby but if in case the mother is unable to feed her baby there are fm which is closest to mother's milk .. I am using APTAMIL and it said to be closest to mother's milk which helps in boosting immunity and overall growth.

And yes, while infant milk formula is developed especially for infants and helps with many of the nutrients you need, its no substitute for breast milk. But more important if the mom is genuinely having an issue breastfeeding pls dont make her feel guilty about it. This happens to lots of moms and it does nt make them a lesser mom at all. But do try to get to the root of the issue.

It's better to always use breast milk. But if its absolutely not possible and the mother has also consulted a Lactation consultant, then it's fine to move to infant formula. But pls do make all attempts with a trained professional lactation expert to first understand why this could be happening. Take care hema!
