yes absolutely safe. I traveled with my baby during her 5th month. Most of the airports have nursing room. So you can feed baby there. Also..once you get inside flight...can feed baby. carry a thick big dupatta to cover while feeding. Also.. cover baby ears with cotton.. during takeoff n landing... some babies get irritated due to atmospheric pressure difference. That's quite normal. Mine didn't cried as she was feeding and sleeping. Flight journey will be much more better than bus.
