If the baby is presenting breech a surgical birth is preferred for safety of the baby. The birth is generally scheduled a couple of weeks ahead of your due date to prevent any chance of your going into labor. This is the normal protocol and the doctor will assess the growth of the baby before planning the same. Hence the baby will not have any negative impact.
