The last of the surviving grasslands in the country, the Hesaragatta grasslands is just what you need if you are desperately looking for a breath of fresh air away from the city. Miles and miles of open land filled with grass, brick red earth and clumps of trees along the edges and nothing else as far as the eyes can reach.

So if you have a day, a bunch of barmy friends like yourself and kids in any order that is, then load those cycles in the car and head out to catch the wind in your hair.
