Its my 6th month. I had shifted to my parents house. My new doctor advised me to check vit d through test. Level came extremely low i. e. 3units (normal range is 30_100)units.Does it effect my baby. Also she advised me to stop taking progesterone which my doctor was giving from first month. Plz help dr shilpithaa.

Amy it will be some other cause which you are facing low level of vit-d... my advice is discuss with your doctor to find out the actual cause for this much low readings.. and it should be done asap..

Dr shilpitha shanthappa, my previous  doctor was giving me calcium along with 200iu of vit D3 from third month. Is it not helpful for my baby. Is it possible  to have such a low level, even after  regular  intake. Plz help

Amy your new doctor is correct with progesterone because you are already 27 wks pregnant. My doctor gave me progesterone but kept decreasing the mg and she asked me to stop it when I complete 20 weeks.

Hello..<br> follow your doc's advice and take the supplements properly.. you may need injections too.. its really low and may affect baby too.. take care..
