It's so easy for everyone to actually balance their meals and eat healthy. The best way to look at your food is the Five Finger Rule for all main meals ie breakfast lunch and dinner. Which means that each of these meals should have five components.
1. A healthy carb - choose an unrefined option like whole grain roti or bread, upma or red rice rice poha, idli or dosa.
2. Vegetables and fruits - choose a range of colors to get a wider intake of nutrients.
3. Protein - Pulses, legumes, sprouts, eggs, meat, nuts.
4. Calcium - Milk, paneer, curds, lassi.
5. Healthy Fats - we don't need too much of this just about 6tspns in a day but choose unsaturated options like olive oil, flax seed oil, nut based oils etc.
Healthy eating is actually very very easy if we all just look at our hands and follow the Five Finger Rule.
