It's summer break in the schools and kids are at home. It's also that time of the year when all the house help is also on leave. So how deal with this situation? You gets your kids to be more useful around the house and help with the chores.. Age appropriate ones of course.. For example :
▪️Two- and three-year-olds are especially eager to help with household chores, especially when you’re around. Rather than just telling them to pick up toys and then just going about doing your stuff, make clean up fun by turning it into a game or incentivise. Telling them that "mommy needs their special helper to wipe the dust off the lower shelves and furniture while you’re dusting the higher places makes them feel so important! Smiley face and start stickers will do the trick too 😄. Other things they can do * Pick up their toys
* Put dirty clothes in hamper
* Wipe surfaces.
▪️Four- and five-year-olds can do so much more than we think they're capable of. N loves to show off the her laundry finding skills ( her clothes and her little sisters 😊. Apart from putting her shoes back on the rack and keep her toys back in place, she/ they can :
* Make the bed
* Put clean laundry away
* Rinse the soap off the dishes after they've been washed. * You can even see her helping in sorting out the curry leaves * Help in a snack / small meal prep - buttering the bread, adding sugar, cinnamon, etc to her eggy bread ( French toast) and other such things under supervision.

Do share how your kids help you and how old they are. What chores can 6-7 year olds do?
