#January Birth stories Save this! Written by me and most importantly...you! If you have any pregnant friends that may find this useful, tag them below ❤ I asked for your hospital bag suggestions to add to my list and boy did you deliver. It's worth bearing in mind that what you will need to pack will depend on the country that you're in and the type of birth you are having but this is a great starting point to decide what's right for you. This is a very comprehensive list, and you probably won't even use half of it in reality but if you're anything like me then you'll agree that it's always better to be prepared! *And I still forgot to add a towel to this list!!* It's sad to say that we also may need to remember that we may spend a larger proportion of time alone, due to the reality of giving birth in the pandemic, so many of these things will help to us to feel less alone/prove useful when we don't have an extra pair of hands to help. This is just the list for YOU, but the list for BABY and BIRTH PARTNER are coming as soon as I've written them up! Want to print this out? Save and send it to yourself and then you'll be able to attach it in an email to print out. Checklists for baby and birth partner! I asked for your hospital bag suggestions to add to my list and boy did you deliver. It's worth bearing in mind that what you will need to pack will depend on the country that you're in, your hospital's policies and how long you need to stay (you may need more if you're having a c-section or preemie for example). This is a great starting point to decide what's right for you. This is a very comprehensive list, so just pick and choose what you think you'll use! It's sad to say that we also may need to remember that birth partners may not be allowed to stay on the ward after the birth, or only for a limited time (in my area it's only 15 minutes after you move to the ward 😔 and then one 3 hour visit a day). Some hospitals are still allowing birth partners to stay all day or even stay overnight, so it's always worth checking. Even if your partner can't stay overnight on the ward, you may be in the labour suite for quite some time, so it's worth them having things to make sure they are comfortable, well fed and hydrated.
