Jigsaw puzzles
They are fun to do, easily available in variety of themes,

Great for development of fine motor skills and thought process...I could go on about how fun n useful jigsaw puzzles are for kids!!

You can introduce them as early as child develops pincer grip and holds vision steadily- start with the 2 piece ones.

A little bit of help and explanation maybe required early on, but it gets a lot of fun for toddlers to try and match the pieces together!
Here's my 3 yr old with his favorite fireman themed puzzle set.

I'm contemplating getting a big 400-500 piece puzzleset for myself too! #xraymom
