Thank you for the 'Yes' ! If you have been busy and don't have much time left to make something elaborate, you can try this yummy and healthy recipe that's going to be a hit, without costing you too much effort. Here it goes:
✓Churn the nuts in the mixer and bring it to a consistency of choice (powdered, coarse, or small bits. I used powdered as my children like it that way)
.
✓Roast the 1.5 cups of dessicated coconut with the churned dry fruits for just a Few seconds.
.
✓Add this warm mix, and optionally add some coco powder and; some powdered sugar, and put it for another round of churning. .
✓Now put it back on flame and add the milk maid. The consistency should be dense. Adjust the milkmaid quantity accordingly
.
✓Then mix the raisins in it and switch off the flame. Let it cool slightly and start rolling into Ladoos, barfi, peda, or use a cookie cutter and get creative with its shape
.
✓The sweet won't hold a very fancy shape so choose your shape accordingly.
If you are making a Ladoo or a peda you can use a shortcut method of rolling them into coconut. In a dry bowl add one tablespoon of coconut and whirl 2 laddoos in it. Thy will be well coated with coconut.
.
✓Then Flatten them (or let it be as is) and place raisins or almonds for garnish.
The sweet will be fudge like in consistency even after it has been set by refrigeration. .
Or you are most welcome to my home where I have a big fat stack of these ready :-)
