Well once you discover that you are pregnant your happiness will know no bounds. It may also be coupled with nervousness and anxiety and believe me it's all ok to feel that.
When I was pregnant with my Baby boy the first trimester felt longer than the whole pregnancy to me coz of the constant nausea and vomiting.
YES. I was puking even at the look of food and smell of food, oil and even perfumes and soaps for that matter used to make me feel dizzy and oh! So nauseous 😥
While I am writing this I can actually feel a lump on my throat ,it was that intense. But nonetheless there were certain tips and tricks that I followed and it helped me sail through the stormy season of first trimester.
1. Meditation. I think I got the hang of breathing excercise like anulom vilom coz of this scenario and I still do it. Really helps you calm your mind and focus on the good things
2. Water intake : well if you have a good water intake that is minimum 3.5l then you will be able to sail through the first trimester. Also this helps to control those constant hunger pangs of eating something sweet or salty.
3. Knowing what suits you: It took me less than a week to know that I was having issues mostly with oily food or cooked food. And thus I changed ne diet to eating fruits and dry items like chapati and sauted veggies. Anything with less masala was doing almost fine with me puking stage.
4. Reading: I read a lot of stuff on the growth of the baby and that kept me all happy happy to know about the life inside me.
5. Hope and Stayin Happy:focussing on the good parts and a strong affirmation that 'this phase too shall pass ' kept me going strong.
6. Intake of nuts, paneer, dry fruits was higher than coz I was eating less veggies comparatively. And this is important coz you want to be calcium or protein deficient at the time when the embryo is taking its shape to become your lil baby bud.
7. Lastly I used to drink lukewarm water with few lemon drops and powdered sugar just to maintain the taste of my mouth. Even coconut water was a regular for me and helped to deal with the first trimester like a pro.
These were few of the things I constantly followed and helped me sail through easily. Believe me the thought of your baby's arrival will make these issues really small.
Just stay happy and be positive 😊
