Babies come in all different shapes and sizes! Anytime someone comments about the size of your baby, it’s easy to feel like they are giving you a report card for how they think you are doing. That just does not have to be true! My babies tend to run on the large size, especially after they are a few months old. I have counseled a lot of families with little or petite babies though. As long as they are steadily gaining weight, making diapers often and content, I remind them that “somebody has to be on the bottom of the curve...it’s a range of normal!” Loved ones may misinterpret cues for being tired as being hungry and suggest baby needs to eat again or more in general.
