I always lived away from my home.. and whenever I returned the warmth of home and food made by my mom just made me feel alive..
m sharing with you all a recipe of my mom.. #palak daal..
Ingredients required- spinach, chana daal, onions, tomato, garlic, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, bay leaves, jeera, salt, turmeric powder
1- wash and chop spinach into small bits.. chop onions and tomato..
2- pressure cook daal with spinach (around 5-6 whistles) you can add salt and turmeric while cooking daal itself..
3- keep kadhai on stove and add oil, then add bay leaf and jeera.. when jeera begins to splutter add onions and fry til onions are translucent..then add tomato and fry till tomato are soft.. after this add little coriander powder.. and chilli powder..
4- now pour the entire palak daal in kadai and cook until yo get a consistency which you want.. add little garam masala.. (you can also add a little amount of ghee if you want)
5- serve hot and enjoy..
