Hi there..first of all do not panic. Few weeks before labour you will see a thick whitish discharge coming from your vagina. It's called the mucous plug and it helps to keep the vaginal opening closed/blocked and also protects the foetus from any infection. When that happens then do know that your day is nearing. Contractions when occur naturally will start with a mild pain coming from your towards your abdomen. You will feel as if you are getting pressure to go to the loo but it's actually the contractions. Try to time the difference between each contractions reason being once they are close enough as in the pain appears in every 3-5mins make sure you reach the hospital. Regarding pushing the doctor wil guide you when to push and when to hold. It's best if you can do some breathing excercising at home. That helps a lot. When asked to push breathe out and put pressure on your hip area (like you are going to poop). Slowly and steadily the baby wl come out. Also most importantly trust your doctor and nurses and take help when required. Have faith in God and try not to shout as it may scare the baby. Keep calm and keep Deep breathing. Everything will be alright 😊

Firstly its normal to be clueless but let me tell you when contractions begin you along with all the ithers around will know tht it is time. So don't worry that you r clueless of what will happen and will you do. It is a pain tht cannot be missed. Just stay calm and strong. Don't preoccupy your brain with whst next now. You need to relax because this will help you save upnall energy for the real process.

PS: remember if you could hold the baby in n your tummy, you can deliver it easily too. Its a natural process and don't be scared about the unknown.

Dont push initially. Push only when the doctor indicates or else you will loose all the energy. Save the energy for later. And actually when it's time for pushing you will already feel the baby pushing towards your opening you just have to assist the baby with full might.
All the best. And keep calm. Just listen to your doctor and follow
