Mam my sis is going with 12wks of pregnancy recently tvs n ultrasound has got done result was placenta is low lying n reaching the low segment. Inferior edge of the placenta is partially covering internal cervical OS.
So pls suggest is it serious and what should we do to avoid any complications.
Thank you!

This can happen in many cases. We cannot control where the placenta will implant. The doctor will advise a sedentary life style. If there is no spotting or bleeding you can continue normal day to day routine but lower body exercises like squats should be avoided. If the placenta does not move up and continues to cover the internal OS then the baby will be delivered surgically.
