Ingredients
1/2 cup Rice.
2 Tablespoon Toor Dal.
2 Tablespoon Moong Dal.
1 Onion.
1/2 teaspoon Jeera.
2 cloves
a small cinnamon stick.
1/4 turmeric powder
Ghee
Method :
1) Wash and soak rice and dal in water for half an hour.
Drain the water.
2) In a pressure cooker, add the ghee.
3) Add jeera, cloves, cinnamon and saute for a minute.
4) Add onions and fry them till transparent.
5) Add the rice and dal and fry them for a minute.
6) Add 3 cups of water.
7) Leave 3 whistles ( 1 on high and 2 on medium).
8) After the steam settles, remove the cloves and cinnamon and mash the khichdi and feed.
