This is the typical maharashtrian super food for lactating mum's. We have these ladoo' s as a special diet to increase brestmilk. It also helps in regaining energy and body recovery to new mothers.
Healthy and strength booster!!!
INGREDIENTS:
1. Edible gum 100 gms
2. Dry dates 1/2 kg
3. Dry coconut 1/2 kg
4. Cashew nuts 50 gm
5. Badam 50 gm
6. Powder of cardmom and nutmeg 1 TS
7. Sugar 1/2 kg
8 butter/ homemade ghee
METHOD:
A. Sugar syrup
1. Heat the pan and add all sugar to it.
2. Add water just to cover the sugar in the pan.
3. Keep it to boil and keep stirring.
4. Take water in another dish ..ad few drops of boiling syrup...if its able to form crystals then the syrup is supposed to be ready to use.
B: Mixture:
1. Remove seeds from dry dates and cut into parts.
2. Grate dry coconut and roast it till golden brown.
3. Add 4-5 TS of ghee to the pan and fry the edible gum.
4. They will puff up immediately, remove them and keep aside to cool down.
5. Mix everything from friend gum to cardmom powder.
6. Mix well
7. Now add this mixture to the syrup made as above.
8 . Mix well all the ingredients I'm the syrup and keep it aside to cool down.
9. When it's warm enough make ladoos.. Hope you like it!!!?
