✌🏾Journey from Fat to Fit !

First of all myself being a fitness freak all my life, why I even let this happen to me?

☝🏻Just for the sake and well being of my child. Yes. Absolutely!

👶When we have this little creature inside even as small as a pea size ( I think all moms & moms to be would agree) we feel that eternal connection and can turn the world upside down to keep the baby safe from that very moment . For us it’s a life growing inside and we have to protect it come what may!
👀👀So me who has been finicky always on gaining 1-2 kgs here and there, was okay with the excess weight that I gained and kept calm to bring this little life into this world.
🙇🏼‍♀️So girls gaining adequate weight of around 10/12 kgs during pregnancy is recommended. Unlike me, If you are not advised bed rest or no movement due to some medical conditions, then it’s advised to maintain a healthy lifestyle in terms of choosing to eat right and keep your self active.thereby not gaining excess weight which is hard to lose later.
🤷🏼‍♀️If by chance you have gained some extra kilos during pregnancy then don’t panic . It must have been necessary for your and your child’s well being.
🤦‍♀️First of all do not stress over the weight issue and don’t rush ( spl the c section moms)
🤰It’s said a mom’s body need at least an year to repair itself perfectly post delivery. So give yourself this much time to completely heal and get back in shape.
💁🏻‍♀️Also if you stress, you will be negatively affecting your white gold’s quality ( breast milk) Do you want let that happen? I am sure not !
🙅🏼‍♀️I lost 30 kgs post delivery ( 87 to 57 ) but I did not rush to achieve this. I gave myself sufficient time and set smaller goals for myself each month. As it’s not a goal to be achieved over night.
💁🏻‍♀️I never did crash diets rather I never did any dieting but chose to eat healthy only until i reached my goal
🤷🏼‍♀️I never indulged in heavy weights and exercises as I wanted to body to heal completely ( specially the incision) but opted for long walks and lighter with/the/pram exercises that I could do taking along my Little one.
🤰🤰I chose to breastfeed - this played a major role in my weight loss journey
Few tips to new moms from my experience :
✅If everything is fine ; I mean if you are making sufficient milk and there are no latching issues then please choose to breast feed as long as you can. This helps you losing excess weight quickly and easily than any other way.Also it helps in building child’s immunity and keep moms safe from engorgement issues , breast cysts and cancer etc
✅Try to eat your last meal 2 hours prior you go to bed. This trick can help you loose atleast 1-2 kgs in a month even if you do nothing else.
✅Choose to eat healthy and say no to junk food during the weight loss program. Opt for low carbs diet and include protein and iron rich food. Don’t starve and Use alternatives for Maida if you wish to eat variety of food - semolina and atta versions of almost everything is available easily in market. Go for that and replace ghee, refined oil with olive oil for some time
✅Start your day with a cup of overnight soaked and boiled jeera water , if that suits you, you may be able to shed few kgs with this routine. A pinch of lemon may also be added for taste.
✅Prepare detox water for entire day which you can sip in place of normal water. add few slices of cucumber, lemon , few mint leaves in a bottle of water and leave it overnight. Keep in fridge for next day. Sip in between meals. It helps in detoxification and removing excess waste and fat from body.
✅C section moms are recommended to wear abdominal belt from 2 weeks onwards post delivery. This helps in bringing your c section hanging pouch back in shape.
✅After a month , if comfortable, start going for walks and slowly after 3 months opt for brisk walking . There are several tummy, thighs, butt exercises that can be done using the pram when you take your child to the park. Doesn’t take more than 15 Mts and can give you long lasting results.
✅After you stop breastfeeding, you can use apple cider vinegar for better results. Use a spoon in 1 glass of luke warm water 10 Mts before your lunch and dinner.
✅Try to avoid sitting and sleeping overly chilled AC rooms while on the weight loss mission , as it does not allow you to sweat and lose weight
✅Don’t pay heed to body shaming remarks. No one knows your journey so no one has the right to speak about your body. You are the incharge. Do it your way. Not for any body else. But for your own health and well being.
✅When ever you feel bogged down and failing to achieve, have a look at your bundle of joy and all your worries will fade away :) . Try try and try again and you will definitely succeed.

V nice post nd rilly helpful bcz new moms hav lots of questions in mind.<br> My baby is 3 months old nw nd i hv started working out little nd slowly n i cn c dat der is inch loss in my body br weight is nt reducing much.my pre pregnancy weight was way too less thn present weight.nd m also havin flaxseed water evry morning.is it safe for my baby nd hope it doesnt effect my milk supply as m exclusivly breastfeeding.nd i think my inch loss is also due to flaxseed water it ud extremly helpful bt y m i nt reducing weight.nd i since ur helping evryone so much i wud tel u to suggest dis water to al d moms if it is safe.
