#MommyTakeOver#MeetRoopa#AstroMom #Post 3 Being born in the middle class family and brought up by my mom..life was quite challenging and full of struggles. Neither by Grandpa nor my father supported us. So i have a huge influence of my Grandma and mom. They were never biased. They taught me many life lessons and values in life. Most of my family members are multitalented and animal lovers. My granny was a sports person and first lady to ride bicycle in those times. She was badminton state-level player and carrom( after kids) national level player. My elder uncle Shankar is a Classical Bharathnatyam Dancer. Along with that he is a good craftsman, gardener, animal trainer, cook, etc.etc. My another Uncle Arun, director, writer, painter. He was very strict on me. Orthodox, disciplinary and the same time always supported me. My mom, Chanda Pande Ammaji, she is a famous Astrologer now in Bangalore, doing many tv shows. Before this during her struggling times she have done even maid and cook job as well. She is a Yoga teacher, arts n crafts, local ayurvedic resourceful person, dress designer, etc etc. Rather than saying what she knows, its better to say, what she dont know. So this is how... many things i came to know, learn and even though my childhood days was full of struggles. There was lot of fun. During those times, a single parent concept was new and society was not ready to take it. So mom and me was never been invited to any functions, parties, poojas or any such celebrations. Even some use to avoid us completely. Kids were said not to mingle much with me. The problems, quarrels and issues inside my house made me silent. Situations forced me to become more mature and patient. I observe ppl a lot. There were times when ppl keep asking me about my father and irritate me. Teachers after knowing its my answer sheet, have called me back and have changed my grade from A to B and even C. Only couple of friends and teachers have helped me. I use to run in my garden, hide and cry. Then wash my face and act normal, coz i dont wanted to hurt my mom, as she was already struggling. My school days was real hard. Somehow i have gone through all. I never had new good dress for any festival. So was always use to pray, why these festivals come every month. Mom use to stitch me new dress from her old saree. My mom n me have faced lot of insults, irritating comments. Many were hoping i wont get through school. I may fail..blah blah blah. Even my notes in sslc was stolen. Many ups and downs during that time. I studied on my own( one month before exams) and got good scores around 80%. One of my bestie stopped talking to me, coz i scored more than her. During all these time, one thing i learned. Never giveup. No matter what, be true to yourself. Books, music ( dance) and pets became my best pals. And always have given me the love, strength and power. Pic :- During my exams in my room. I had 50+ cats. @Priya Sood@RICHA CHAUDHARY@Manvi Bhandari@Sheeba Rizvi@Vidya rathod@Rebecca Prakash@Dr Shilpitha Singh@Varsha Rao@Prachi
