Let me tell you a little bit about my life. I am the elder daughter to my parents. My childhood is filled with memories of our close knit family time, eating meals together and fighting over petty matters like who will open the door after coming from school :P:P .
My parents never considered us any less from the boys and hence whenever asked, "you dont have a brother?" I used to snap back with "We dont need one" or "No, we are no less" .
Gender Nuetral parenting is something very new age but something my parents followed from the yester years.
I have done all the "boys" task like painting the entire house( Ya me and my dad painted our entire 2 bhk ourselves) .
My father has retires from service the Northern Railway unit of Indian railways. He used to get passes for family to travel via Indian railway throughout our childhood. There was not a single vacation, we did not go somewhere via trains. I guess the love for travelling and seeing new places came to us from there. Always excited to hit the road, explore new places and try new food.
While our travelling was kind of free due to my father's job, find a hotel in a new place was never a hassle for us. Thats because my mum worked in Bank of India and we used to find Holiday homes in our destinations.Oh what fun.. I so want to go for a vacation right now!! :)
BTW How is your friday going so far? how was your week? what are your plans for the weekend?
I am going to cast my vote in Delhi. I hope you are utilizing your right to vote as well.. because it is not just a right is a duty towards buidling a strong nation with a strong govenment.

Travelling in those days had its on perk and also came with its own struggles. Mentioning vacation, you have triggered the vacation want in me. I love rail travel. Have so many summer memories of visitinf native and a few places during childhood. Those big thermos to carry water, homecooked food for the entire journey and what not.
