#mommytakeover Motherhood will be challenging today, tomorrow or day after. Getting back to work is more about setting priorities right. You might have to, want to or need to get back to work after the baby comes to your life.
It’s not easy for anyone, but if you set few things in place you can get back to work.
I would like to make it a point here that No mother should ever have Guilt of anything, whether she works, she doesn’t work what you think and do for your baby is best, ALWAYS….
Tips for getting back to work after maternity break:
1. Arrange for a better baby care arrangement, even if your in-laws are there to take care make sure you keep a maid along with them so that they don’t feel the pressure or boundation, which can save you from lot of frustration.
If you are planning for Daycare apart from the infrastructure, security and hygiene at the place look for attitude of maids and in-charge towards kids. This is my personal exp. As both my kids go to day care. Before finalizing the daycare make couple of uninformed visits, check there behavior. Even once your baby starts going to daycare make impromptu and uninformed visits, this helps a lot.
2. Put a system in place your maids, husband and family take everyone in confidence. Do the daycare bag packing like clothes, diapers, medicines at night itself. Stick to time lines. Discipline is very important.
3. Keep your boss in good trust when you on maternity break stay in touch with your boss or reporting manager, give them clear idea of your expectations that you might need flexibility in work timing or break for breastfeeding.
4. Have a dedicated time for baby once you reach home give baby some exclusive time, give massage before sleeping play with them talk with them so that whatever time you have its quality time.
5. Once you are in office try to dress your best, carry your confidence so that people at office encourage your comeback and support you more, most of the time of the day we spend at work, they are our second family so there support is equally important.
Can you pour in your views, what have you done to get back to work?
What’s your plan if you are planning to get back?
How has your family supported you to make it a smooth transition?

Very nicely written Ujjwal. Getting back to work and bringing up a child simultaneously is a gargantuan responsibility. After I became a mom, I admire and am in awe of moms, couples who do it so well!
