Breastfeeding Twins isn't easy. However it can be made easy if one gathers the right support . There were a few things that aided my breastfeeding journey. Breast pump and feeding pillow being the main ones.

I also happened to meet a lactation consultant in the initial days that really helped me a lot. She guided me about the right latch, about different feeding positions, about tandem-feeding etc. She also advised me to eat healthy meals in every few hours that helped me to maintain my energy levels.

During the course of my breastfeeding journey with twins, I realised that it also requires a woman to be strong-willed. There were days when I would feel proud tandem feeding my kids and there were days when I would just want to give up. There were also days when I would be overridden by guilt for not being able to feed both properly.

Frankly it was tough- not just to feed but to deal with these dwindling emotions. My experience taught me that I just need to give my best. Also that I don't need to over stress myself. The days when my body did not allow me to feed, I resorted to formula too. And that did not make me any less of a mother.

Taking things lightly, adjusting as per the situation and figuring the best way out, worked in my stride and boosted my confidence to continue feeding my twins.
