#MommyTakeOver#themomsagas - Post 5 Having said a lot on breastfeeding, let me now talk about my ‘always-on-my-toes’ kind of life. Before I realize, my day passes in a jiffy- with making both the kids eat, bath, sleep etc. One thing that I learnt pretty early was to put my kids on a schedule. That really helped me to set up a routine and keep things planned and organized. I now find myself using my time more efficiently. In between the daily routine, I make sure to spend some ‘me-time’ for at least one hour in a day. I usually read a book or write a blog in that hour. That helps to keep my mind fresh and away from getting frustrated. The rest of my time goes with my twins. Currently they are at the stage when they love throwing tantrums. And I am at a stage when I am learning how to deal with them. They both have totally opposite personalities. One is shy and introvert, the other one is independent. Both are however super naughty and always up to some mischief. Since they have different temperaments, my ways to handle them are also different. With one ‘convincing’ works, so everytime I have to stop my daughter from some mischief, I try to reason out and share different stories to convince her. However this doesn't work to stop my son. I usually have to ‘distract’ him to some other activity. What works for you- convincing or distraction? Or something else? I would love to hear and gain some ideas. It took me some time to emerge as a confident mother of twins. You can read all about my experiences and learnings in these two articles.

tantrums are tough yaar. and wth twins i cant even begin to imagine! i let her throw a hissy fit. i samjhao her. give her something sweet - food therapy rocks at our place. and then i distract her with something else completely to change the mood.

Wow Charu it's so good to hear you....I was always wondering how difficult it would be to handle two munchkins at same time....here the gap is 7 years but still most of the time I play the role of a refree...but seriously parenting is really a tough task...so happy and motivated to see how nicely you are handling and enjoying the parenthood.....same here for girl I prefer stories but distraction is the only option for my naughty son he is just 3 years but pretend like he is elder than sis;)
